Day 2 Review
I promised a daily review of my festival betting guide selections and here is the day 3 fallout.
We started the day up 6.55 on the week.
My selection in the Marsh ran in the Ballymore and it was non-runner no bet, so not bet in this race.
In the Pertemps, I selected Skandiburg and Jatiluwih, who were both unplaced and a loss of 1 point was made on the race.
In the Ryanair, Min put in a great front-running performance. My selections were A Plus Tard who was 3rd and Riders Onthe Storm who fell. Another loss of 1 point and down 2 points on the day.
The results were no better in the Stayers where Paisley Park failed to justify favouritism and left me down another point for a total loss of 3 points on the day.
I got back on track in the Brown & Merribelle Plate when my 7-1 selection Simply The Betts did the business. My other pick Cepage was a non-runner, so I made a profit of 2.16 points on the race to move back to only 0.84 down on the day.
The Mares Novice saw Ard Abhainn unplaced, but my other runner was a non-runner, so the loss on the race was 0.5 and on the day became 1.34.
The last race was the Kim Muir. Kilfilum Cross placed and Fingerontheswitch didn’t. The return on the place portion of the former resulted in a break-even race. This meant a loss of 1.34 points on the day, but still left the selections up 5.21 points on the week.
