Weekly Update 17-06-18
By BG Racing Syndicates On 16th June 2018
No runners this week which was just as well as it was still busy enough! We came close to running My Brother this week but the race looked quite strong. It was probably the right call again as similarly to last week, Southwell ended up omitting half of the hurdles due to the low sun.
I had a very enjoyable afternoon at Sandown yesterday as a guest of KPMG and I produced a tipping sheet for the guests. This proved a successful exercise when I tipped the first two winners! My fellow guests were excellent company and one or two people seemed interested in BG Racing. They would be excellent people to have involved, so here’s hoping that they get in touch to join us!
The Way You Dance
Not much to say on The Way You Dance this week who has had a week off from racing. He seems very well at home and Neil was very positive about both him and My Brother this morning when he reported that both horses were very well and that he was very happy with them.
At the moment, the plan is still the hurdle race at Newton Abbott on the 26th June. Entries for this race are due on Wednesday. I have published the race diary from last week’s race at Kempton, so please take a look to see the report from the day, photos and video.
Why not buy into The Way You Dance and get involved in his success. Shares are £280.50 per 1%, reducing to £275 per 1% if you buy 5% and £270 per 1% if you buy 10%. Plenty more chances to come racing this summer and there is nothing else to pay before renewal in October. Contact me for details.
After asking for someone who may want to take on Justice Super, I was put in touch with someone who may be interested. We are currently exchanging emails but I would still be keen to speak to anyone else that may be interested in case this does not come to fruition.
As mentioned above, My Brother is in very good order but we are still trying to find him the right opportunity. We did look at the race at Southwell on Tuesday. We rechecked the race when it re-opened for half an hour on Monday morning as there were less the 8 runners. There were however four credible rivals from the seven and we decided to leave My Brother out of the race.
We will get him out soon. The next options are Southwell on the 25th June and Worcester on the 27th. Worcester always seems to produce nice jumping ground so that might be more likely of the two but we will look when entries are due this week.
I recently recorded video of My Brother on the gallops and schooling over hurdles and if you have not yet seen it, this can he viewed by clicking this link. My Brother is clever over his hurdles and jumps nicely.
Shares in My Brother are £450 for 1%, but I will discount these to £430 per 1% for 5% purchase and £410 per 1% for 10% purchases. I am also happy to take instalment payments. This is an all in cost to 31st October 2018 and at renewal shares will be less than £200 per 1% share to cover training fees should you decide to stay involved for another year. Please contact me for more information.
From The Stables
Not much success for our stables this week. We had no runners from our stables last Sunday and on Monday, Neil ran Dream Machine who went well but failed to get a clear run. On Tuesday, Chantecler was disappointing for Neil and his Magical Thomas was also well beaten, Johnny’s runners Ali The Hunter and Fool to Cry also did not feature.
Alan had runners on Wednesday when Wonderoftheworld fell. Bakmaj ran well, but was edged into 3rd by a nose. His other runner Great Cleni ran a nice enough debut. Dalasiri was unlucky for Johnny and was badly hampered. Neil’s two runners were both well beaten on Thursday, The Detainee and Seven Clans both running worse than expected. On Friday, Goodgirlteresa made some headway but her run petered out and she was unplaced.
Why Not Join Us?
All quoted prices include the purchase price of the horse and should you decide to renew for a second year, you will only need to pay training fees which are under £200 per 1% share. If you are interested in discussing what is involved, then please do get in touch as I would be delighted to discuss things with you. I also have an e-book entitled “Racehorse Ownership – Everything You Might Have Wanted To Know But Would Not Have Known Who To Ask“. This is free and the download page can be accessed by following this link: https://www.bgracingsyndicates.co.uk/subscribe-for-our-free-guide/
Have a great week.
